A friend of mine is getting ready to start the envelope system (by Dave Ramsey).
And I had seen this tutorial online and wanted to try it.
You can guess what happened next:
The tutorial used snaps, but snaps and I do not get along. So I added a fabric-covered button on the front and used a hair band for the elastic that goes around the button.It took about an hour, including contemplation time on how to get by without using snaps!
Sarah- you are making mine look bad. Yours is beautiful. I love the choice of fabric and I love the button do-hicki! Thanks for the link and seriously...it is amazing. Good luck to your friend starting Dave Ramsey. I'M DEBT FREEEEEE!

Hi! I love this! I'm trying to get started with the envelope system, but want to have a pretty wallet before I jump on in. Vain, I know, but I also know that I will likely lose a bunch of paper envelopes or throw them out. Do you have a tutorial on this? I tried viewing the tutorial you linked up to, but it isn't available anymore. ::shucks::
ReplyDeleteI just bought one on etsy from you and wanted to come here and say how much I LOVE MINE!!!!!!! you are so talented. i had the DR cash envelope system that was signed by the man himself when he came to our town a few months back. i have been using that thing for a few years now and it has seen a better day. I posted it on my facebook and all my friends are raving about it. You need to start making more because i think you have a good thing going :)
